Fighting Attributes

Each Samurai has five Fighting Attributes:

Attack

Agility

Defense

Stamina

Fortitude

Fighting Attributes are randomly assigned at mint using the transaction hash. Each assigned Fighting Attribute can have a score between 1 and 20.

Battle Grounds

Each fight takes place in a randomly assigned Battle Ground. Each Battle Ground has different Fighting Attributes Multipliers that affect the Fighting Attributes of the fighters.

Battle Mechanics

After the Battle Ground Multipliers are applied* to the warriors’ Fighting Attributes, the Samurai with the highest Fighting Score wins the fight**.

*If the player has staked a Special Item when registering their player, the additional points are added to the warrior's Fighting Attributes before the Battle Ground Multiplier are applied. The Fighting Attributes are capped to 35 points each after all the boost and multipliers are applied, so be strategic about your choice of Special Item!

**In case of a draw, the Warriors will fight in another randomly assigned Battle Ground until a winner is declared.

Special Items

Equip your Samurai with Special Items to enhance their Fighting Attributes. If you own Special Items tokens, you will be able to stake them when registering a Samurai in a fight or a tournament. You can stake a maximum of one Special Item per type, so choose wisely! (You cannot stake two Elixirs, but you can stake one Elixir plus one Armor or any other different type of Special Items).

Frequently Asked Questions

When will the Big Tournament start?

A Call to Arms will be shouted on our social media channels one week before the start of the tournament. Join our Discord and Twitter to receive updates and announcements.

How will the Big Tournament prize be distributed?

  • #1 Warrior will get 24000 MATIC
  • #2 Warrior will get 6000 MATIC
  • #3 & #4 Warriors will split 4000 MATIC
  • #5 to #32 Warriors will split 6000 MATIC
  • The Tournament top 256 Warriors will be registered as Yanushi and will receive a cut of all future tournaments and fights’ earnings in perpetuity

When will the smaller tournaments and quick fights be available?

The smaller tournaments and quick fights will be launched two weeks after the Big Tournament and will always remain available.

Please note however that the Stamina of the warriors will determine how many battles each can fight in a day; e.g. a Samurai with a Stamina of 11 can fight a maximum of 11 battles per day.

Can I choose my Saumrai’s Attributes?

Your Samurai’s Fighting Attributes are randomly assigned at mint using your transaction hash.

The Marketplace however will allow collectors to trade their Samurai.

Samurai listed on the Marketplace will display the warrior’s Fighting Attributes.

When will I get my Samurai?

Your Samurai token will be transferred to your wallet immediately after you reserve it.

The Artwork and FightingAttributes will however not be available until the reveal.

Why 10000 tokens when the Big Tournament will only accept 8192 Samurai?

The extra buffer will help ensure that no one can hold the launch of the Tournament. Also, no wallet will be permitted to mint more than 10 tokens. When the Tournament launches, the system will stop accepting new entries as soon as 8192 warriors are registered. First come, first served.

All tokens will however have the opportunity to participate in other future smaller tournaments and quick fights.

If I miss the first Big Tournament, will I have another chance at a Big Tournament?

The One Samurai team will put the matter, or any other important changes or requests, to a vote and will always follow the wishes of the community.

How can I trust the results of a tournament?

Battle details are registered on the Polygon blockchain and can be inspected by anyone at will.

Is there a difference between the Samurai minted from the different Presale Editions?

Apart from the price, absolutely none. The Samurai attributes are randomly assigned from the same pool. The different Presale Editions are meant to reward early members of the community for their trust and support of the project with discounted rates; the earlier they join the more important the discount.

Is the number of tokens fixed?

Due to the nature of the game, the more players there are, the faster the tournaments will fill and the bigger the prizes will be. If the community grows big enough to request more Warriors tokens other sales editions will be programmed but at a significant higher price than the original editions in order to not compete with the project’s early adopters and not decrease the value of their collection.

Can we pull it off?

You bet! The team behind One Samurai is the same team behind:
- ArtForge.io, the NFT launchpad on Tezos.
- PixelPotus.com, the collectible NFT competition with over 14k wallets connected and the equivalent of 1.3 million MATIC in revenue, a good chunk of which shared back with the community.
- PixelDebates.com, the NFT trading card game with advanced gaming mechanics.

Will we pull it off?

No BS guys, that depends on you!

This project is nothing without its community.

Your trust, your engagement and your support in spreading the word about One Samurai will be key to reaching and hopefully going beyond the roadmap's milestones.
